Shri. Santosh Kulkarni is an international Tabla virtuoso. He learnt Tabla initially under the tutelage of Pt. Basavaraj Bendigeri at Dharvad and later got trained at the Gurukul of Taalyogi Pt. Suresh Talwalkar at Mumbai.

Shri. Santosh came to Doha and started his journey with Skills Development Centre on 31st October 2011. Since then, the Tabla classroom at SDC has become an oasis of Hindustani music and culture in Doha. His students range from the age of 5 to 65 and have all developed a love for the art of playing Tabla. He has organised annual music programs to celebrate Indian festivals like Diwali, Vishu & Padwa in Qatar. The annual Taal Yatra has become a festival of beats where all of Shri. Kulkarni's students perform. He has also performed with Western artists in Doha, under the group named Desert Bridges. He also collaborated with Turkish Neyzen artist Mr. Sinan Söyler in workshops and programs in Doha.

Shri. Santosh has performed at the Indian Cultural Centre under the aegis of the Embassy of India in Qatar at programs such as Passage to India. Shri. Santosh has performed with his shishyas at the annual Qatar International Arts Festival.

Shri. Santosh Kulkarni has recently established Kalaa Manch, which is a platform for music performers in Qatar and India.
